Is léir go bhfuil scileanna scríbhneoireachta iontacha ag páistí Ghaelscoil na mBeann nó bronnadh duaiseanna iontacha ar dhalta reatha amháin agus ar 4 iardhalta na scoile inné de thairbhe na scéalta speisialta a scríobh siad mar chuid den tógra 'Dochreidte/ Unbelieveable' a d'eagraigh Comhairle an Iúir, an Mhúrn agus an Dúin.
Roghnaíodh an cúigear seo as ucht na scéalta a scríobh siad agus tá comhlacht léirithe anois ag obair go dian ar na scéalta a dhéanamh mar bheochana. Déanfiadh muid cinnte de go gcuirfidh muid in iúl daoibh uilig nuair atá na beochana seo ar fáil.
Mar fhocal scóir, comhghairdeas ó chroí le Tia, Nicole, Erin May, Cara agus Patrick a ainmníodh mar bhuaiteoirí sa tógra agus buíochas ó chroí le Múinteoir Claire agus le Roinn na Gaeilge sa Chomhairle as an tógra a reáchtáil.
It is clear that the writing skills of the Gaelscoil na mBeann pupils are flourishing as one current pupil and 4 past pupils were presented with amazing prizes for the fascinating stories they penned as part of the 'Dochreidte/ Unbelievable' project run by Newry, Mourne and Down District Council.
These five were selected for the stories they have written and a production company is now working diligently to make the stories into animations. We will be sure to let you all know when these animations are available to watch!
To finish, a huge congratulations to Tia, Nicole, Erin May, Cara and Patrick who were named as competition winners and a massive thank you to Múintoeir Claire and to Roinn na Gaeilge in the Council for running the project.
