Covid Vigilance

6th Jun 2021

With a surge in positive Covid-19 cases in our school community and in the wider community, it is more important than ever that we all exercise extra vigilance in regards to following guidance and, from a school perspective, sticking strictly to our staggered start and finish times to reduce the risk of spreading the virus.

I ask that parents and carers adhere to their child's class start/finish times and that when on school grounds, adults wear a face covering at all times. Adults are permitted to take their child to the first black gate but will not be permitted beyond this point. Parents/carers will not be allowed inside the main school door and should wait outside until Annemarie is available to come to the door to assist with your query.

As usual, all children using the bus service should be booked on in advance and MUST wear a face covering properly (covering mouth and nose). I have included information on start and finish times below. Please do not be offended if you or your child are sent back to your car to await their start time as these are in place to prevent us having to close multiple classes if there is a positive case in school.

Rang  Start time Location Finish time
Naíscoil 8:55am Queue under shelter 12:00pm
Rang 6/7 8:55am Rang 6/7 gate 3:10pm
Rang 1 9:05am Main gate 2:05pm
Rang 2/3 9:10am Main gate Rang 2-2:10pm
Rang 3- 3:00pm
Rang 4/5 9:15am Main gate 3:10pm

As we approach the end of another academic year full of upheaval for our children, the last thing we want is for them to miss out on any more face to face teaching time. As such, I would encourage you all to be extra vigilant both inside and outside school to ensure the virus remains under control and that our pupils can all enjoy the last few weeks of term and all that entails.

Go raibh maith agaibh,
Mícheál Ó Brádaigh
